Sedation dentistry eases anxieties and phobias, helping you remain calm and comfortable during dental procedures.
Sedation Options Available
1. IV sedation: No food after midnight, only small sips of water. You will need a driver to bring you to and from your dental appointment and stay with you 24 hours after.
2. Oral Sedation: An oral sedation medication is sent to your pharmacy of choice and you take the medication one hour before your appointment. In some cases, the doctor may prescribe a tablet to take before bedtime and then again one hour before your appointment.
3. Nitrous: “Laughing gas” is used in the office at the time of your appointment to help you relax and put you at ease. You are able to drive yourself to and from your appointments when using nitrous oxide.
