Brushing Tips for a Healthy Smile!

Having a proper brushing technique is very important, be sure to check out our handy infographic on brushing below! For a healthy mouth and smile the ADA recommends you to brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. It is important to make sure you have a toothbrush with the correct size and shape to fit your mouth so it allows you to reach all areas easily. This way you can be sure it is doing its job. A few keys to a healthy smile are ensuring your toothbrush is replaced regularly because a worn toothbrush won’t clean as efficiently as a newer one would. A good rule of thumb would be to replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months, or sooner if the bristles become frayed. Make sure to use ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste to keep your teeth healthy and clean. Feel free to call the office for recommendations or ask your hygienist at your next dental appointment!
